Jr. NTR to begin Bobbili Puli soon?
The latest rumour in Tollywood says Junior NTR will soon begin the remake of his grandfather�N.T. Rama Rao's super hit Bobbili Puli (1982), once he completes his first-ever political campaign for Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which was kicked off at Ichapuram on the Orissa-Andhra Pradesh border on Thursday. Notably, Bobbili Puli played an important role in his grandfather NTR’s political entry and growth.
Will the remake of Bobbili Puli be a turning paint in Jr. NTR's career?
Bobbili Puli was scripted and directed by veteran Narayana Rao Dasari, who recently won the NTR National Award. Junior NTR Jr. recently met Dasari Narayana Rao at his residence to express his congratulations on winning the NTR award and to discuss about the remake. If the reports are to be believed, Bobbili Puli's remake will again be directed by Narayana Rao Dasari.
Bobbili Puli was produced by eminent producer Vadde Ramesh (father of Vadde Naveen) under the banner of Vijaya Madhavi Combines. Sridevi was cast opposite NTR, while Kongara Jaggaiah played a key role; music was by J.V. Raghavulu. Bobbili Puli was about a war hero who returns to his home town only to find society in a mess. He tries to repair the society in his own way and ends up getting hanged.
