Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj is back to cinemas with his latest film, Jigarthanda DoubleX, after his last ventures Jagame Thandhiram (2021) and Mahaan (2022), released directly on streaming. Coming out in cinemas as a grand Diwali release, the period action film starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in the lead roles also includes Malayalam actors Shine Tom Chacko and Nimisha Sajayan, followed by Naveen Chandra from Kannada and Sathyan in Tamil making appearances in key roles, with hit music director Santhosh Narayanan composing the songs and the background score.
