Popular South Indian actress Poorna aka. Shamna Kasim has shared new photos of her baby boy and also revealed his name for the first time on social media. Taking to Instagram, the 33-year-old posted a series of pictures of her adorable little munchkin, while revealing his name to be Hamdan. In the photos, we see Shamna and her husband Shanid Asif Ali holding Hamdan amidst The Boss Baby-themed party decorations, while looking at him with sheer delight and happiness, with congratulatory messages and wishes pouring in for the couple from celebrities and fans.
Last week, Shamna's husband Shanid shared a picture in which she is seen kissing Hamdan while sharing a heartfelt note on the special occasion of Mother's Day. He wrote in the caption: "I am sure our hamdu is safe in ur hands u will be a best mom ❤️he is blessed to have a mother like u Chinnaty ❤️ Happy First Mothers Day❤️(sic)". Shamna and Shanid announced the birth of their baby boy back in April, with the actress also sharing a vlog on YouTube titled, "Welcoming my newborn", showing the events leading up to her delivery. The video also featured the actress being surrounded by her family members as she traveled to the hospital on the due date, while also offering fans a glimpse at how she looked both excited and nervous for the next big phase in her life. Toward the end of the video, Poorna's family goes on to make the announcement that she's been blessed with a baby boy, much to the joy of everyone present, with fans on social media later extending their wishes.
Shamna tied the knot with Shanid Asif Ali, a Dubai-based businessman, the founder and CEO of JBS Group of Companies in October 2022 in a traditional wedding ceremony as per Muslim customs in the presence of family members and close friends. On the work front, the actress, who is known for her appearances in South Indian films, including Tamil blockbusters like Kaappaan and Thalaivii, was last seen in the Nani and Keerthy Suresh-starrer Dasara in Telugu back in March. Poorna's next big role is acclaimed filmmaker Mysskin's Pisasu 2 alongside Andrea Jeremiah, Vijay Sethupathi, and Santhosh Prathap.
