Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 has entered the post-production stages and the dubbing is in progress. On Monday, October 9, the team of the highly ambitious film shared the exciting update in a special video showing the iconic Tamil actor and blockbuster filmmaker Shankar from the dubbing studio. The Indian 2 video starts off with Kamal Haasan arriving at a dubbing studio in Chennai, with director Shankar also following suit, and being welcomed by the film's crew. We then see both the Tamil cinema powerhouses conversing and discussing the film, with Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman's iconic theme music from Indian (1996) being featured in the video.
The Indian 2 glimpse then progresses to show Kamal Haasan speaking his lines for his role as Senapathy and Shankar observing keenly. The video ends by showing the duo interacting with each other excitedly in front of a screen, which seems to be carrying a visual from the highly anticipated upcoming action political drama film. Although not much is revealed in this latest Indian 2 dubbing glimpse, it serves as a reminder that the work on the film is progressing steadily and has come as a special surprise for fans, who will be looking to witness the action soon.
Indian 2 has been carrying tremendous buzz right from the get-go and will see Kamal Haasan sharing the screen alongside several leading names in Tamil cinema among whom include Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, S J Suryah, and late actors Vivek and Manobala, among others. Shankar has been shuffling his time for more than a year between the production of the Kamal Haasan-starrer and Ram Charan's Game Changer in Telugu. The expectations for the film have shot up each time promotional material from the film is released and this latest video will no doubt be a big treat for fans. Gearing up for a grand release in 2024, Indian 2 will feature songs and a background score composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander, whose work in Kamal Haasan's Vikram (2022) went on to receive a thunderous response from fans and critics.
