The first two episodes of HBO's latest show House of the Dragon have been all about the Targaryens. We also get to see various characters from other houses that are introduced in the story, but the core of the entire story is fixated on the Targaryen power dynamic. Both the good and the bad characters of the series seem to be a part of House Targaryen, but at the end of the second episode, we were introduced to a new villain - the Crabfeeder.

Although there has been little to no information revealed about this new villain, a preview for the third episode of the show offers a closer look at him. During the second episode, we get to know that he is a pirate who preys on ships in the Stepping Stones as a result of which it harms the trade routes in Westeros. Those whom he takes in as prisoners, he nails the victims to boards and allows crabs to eat those victims alive, thereby inheriting his name.

The new preview of the upcoming episode gives us a glimpse into the potential conflict between Daemon Targaryen and the Crabfeeder as during the end of the second episode, we see The Sea Snake, Corlys Velaryon, approach Daemon to ask for his help in diffusing the situation that is transpiring at the Stepping Stones. There is no telling how much the Crabfeeder will be featured in episode 3 of this Game of Thrones prequel show, but as per the preview, it can be assumed that a good portion of it will focus on the conflict at the Stepping Stones and we can also expect to see some dragons flying around and burning people, things and anything flammable to ashes.

House of the Dragon is the long-awaited prequel to Game of Thrones, taking place 170 years before the War of the Five Kings that is featured in the original show. Adapted from George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood, the story depicts the turbulent history of House Targaryens and the civil war that will follow which will be come to know as the Dance of Dragons.
