Drums Sivamani got candid and shared some intimate moments that he shared with his late friend Mayilsamy in an interview with Galatta. Famous ‘Comedy Time’ actor died on Sunday due to an sudden cardiac arrest. The whole Tamil film fraternity, politicians and other well-known people had expressed their condolences and paid tribute to the actor. Mayilsamy had acted in many Tamil films in supporting roles and was famous for combination role with Vivek and Vadivelu. 

Speaking about the viral video of the last moments of Mayilsamy that was caught on camera with Drums Sivamani. The musician said he had to finish some of his other commitments before he got to play at the event in the video. He said Mayilsamy asked him to be a part of the Mahashivratri event and waited till his other commitments were over to pick him up and took him to the temple. He said "I will play at any event that Mayilsamy has given his word". He shared a candid moment where they had a friendly fight as the late comedian had named his car after 'Puratchi Thalaivar' MGR. He said it was a small temple about the event and added they chanted 'Oms' in the mic and Mayilsamy also gave some money to other musicians. 

Drums Sivamani got emotional while talking about the last wishes of the actor. He told to the interviewer Mayilsamy wanted to see Rajinikanth do a special pooja at the temple. He said he assured the actor that It will be done. He then spoke about the Thiruvannamalai Deepam incident that happened last year, "Mayilsamy was a bit unhappy as things didn’t go well but I performed and sent a message thanking him". He also shared the incidents that happened after the viral video, Sivamani said he had to perform elsewhere and left after the event, Mayilsamy insisted that he will follow him but he asked him to stay and take rest. After the event, he got a call from Mayilsamy’s son saying he had passed away. He "took rest permanently" said the artists bitterly. Check out the full interview:
