Mayilsamy died due to an cardiac arrest unexpectedly on Sunday. Many celebrities paid their last respects, tributes and sent condolences to the talented actor and comedian. The top-tier actors of the Tamil film Industry Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth also expressed their condolences on his demise. He was last seen enjoying the performance of well-known musician Drums Sivamani at an event that happened for Mahashivratri. Galatta media had got to interview the musician and he shared an exclusive call recording of his last conversation with Mayilsamy.
The actor Mayilsamy had called Sivamani to ask him to perform in a temple and said it should be the first thing he has to do that day. He goes on says in the next recording that he will reach the destination in three minutes. The talented musician explained the actor waited for him in his car to pick him up and to take him to the temple. He became heartbroken and continued saying his good deeds led to his demise on Mahashivratri as he was an avid follower of Lord Shiva. When asked about Rajinikanth's response on Mayilsamy's funeral about the last wish. Drums Sivamani remembered that he first knew Mayilsamy only as a comedian, "When i saw his devotion during Karthigai Deepam, he became a different (more respectable) person in my eyes". He further said he had always accepted his call and agreed to perform for him.
When asked about late Mayilsamy’s social service tendency, he said not everyone will have his character he learned it from his guru MGR. Sivamani shared that he himself has seen many of his social services. The musician said it was big loss for the industry and it was an unexpected loss for him as he was talking with the versatile actor just one and half hours before his deal and ended by saying It’s all god's plan.
