Leading Tamil actor Jayam Ravi's next big film, Agilan, will open in cinemas worldwide on March 10. The upcoming commercial entertainer will be the first big release for the actor after the blockbuster box office success of Ponniyin Selvan: 1. Produced under the Screen Scene Media Entertainment Private Limited banner and featuring music by Sam C. S., Agilan will see Jayam Ravi playing the role of a worker in the harbor and is the second time he has collaborated with director Kalyana Krishnan after their 2015 boxing action drama film, Bhooloham.

Billed to be "a high octane action film shot extensively on the Indian Ocean", there is quite a lot of excitement surrounding Agilan as it will see Jayam Ravi in yet another interesting role for him to perform considering the grand scope. There are also massive expectations among fans to witness the actor come out on top with yet another memorable film after his knockout performance in Ponniyin Selvan. With Agilan having the tagline 'King of the Indian Ocean', a special video titled 'Voyage Of Agilan' was released last year giving audiences the first glimpse at what fans can expect when the film arrives in theatres. Agilan will see Jayam Ravi paired with youth sensation Priya Bhavani Shankar, who will be appearing in the role of a police officer alongside an ensemble cast featuring the likes of Karuppan heroine Tanya Ravichandran, Kaappaan fame Chirag Jani, Hareesh Peradi, Harish Uthaman, Tarun Arora, Madhusudhan Rao among others. The film is an important one for Jayam Ravi, who will be looking to hit land the anchor at the right spot ahead of the release of Ponniyin Selvan: 2 on April 28, while he's also attached to several other ventures namely Iraivan alongside Nayanthara under Ahmed's direction, followed by Siren with Keerthy Suresh and Anupama Parameswaran currently in production.
