Dhanush's Naane Varuvean has released in theatres and is running successfully with a mixed to good response from the fans and film buffs. With the film running in theatres, we at Galatta Media had an exclusive interview with the creator of the film, director Selvaraghavan who talked about the project in detail and also shared interesting tidbits about cinema. During the interaction, Selvaraghavan revealed that the story of Naane Varuvean has been penned by Dhanush and it is a collaboration. He also added that it was a dream for Dhanush to work along with Selvaraghavan in the writing.

Talking about it, Selvaraghavan said, "The story of Naane Varuvean is written by Dhanush. It has been a long pending dream and wish for Dhanush for both of us to collaborate and do a film together. He wanted us to sit and write a film and it got to happen with Naane Varuvean when things fell in place at the right time". Well, this is indeed an interesting insight that Dhanush wanted to work with Selvaraghavan as a writer. Naane Varuvean features Dhanush in dual roles - as the subtle and calm Prabhu and the evil Kathir.

The face-off between the two estranged brothers is what the film is about and it has been shot and presented in an intriguing fashion with lots of mystery and suspense. The film has Indhuja, Elli AvrRam, Prabhu, and Yogi Babu in important roles and has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja whose work in the film has received a positive response. Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations, the film has cinematography handled by Om Prakash and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan.

Dhanush is currently busy shooting for his highly anticipated next, Captain Miller which is helmed by Arun Matheswaran of Rocky and Saani Kaayidham fame. Priyanka Mohan plays the female lead in this period action drama produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.
