Dhanush's Naane Varuvean which released in theatres this weekend has opened to mixed reviews from the critics and general audience, but there has been unanimously positive feedback praising Dhanush's performance as two contrasting individuals - the subtle and calm Prabhu and the evil and psychotic Kathir. The film deals with the relationship between two estranged brothers who are made to meet several years later due to certain situations. The face-off between the two is what the film is about. Naane Varuvean is directed by Selvaraghavan who is getting back with Dhanush after a long time, following Kaadhal Konden, Pudhupettai, and Mayakkam Enna.

Three songs from the film were released before the release of the movie and the fans were in for a special surprise when they got to see a bonus song directly in the film. That bonus song has now been officially released by the makers on YouTube and other audio streaming platforms. This new song is called 'Yaarum Illa' and it is sung by Anthony Daasan whose unique voice and rendition makes this a likeable track. The song picturizes the candid family moments of Kathir along with his children and wife, played by Elli AvrRam. The heartwarming visuals were a delight to watch on the big screens and the song is also a pleasant number that can be listened to.

Vivek's lyrics establishing the family emotions are impressive. Naane Varuvean is Dhanush's fourth release of this year after Maaran, The Gray Man, and Thiruchitrambalam, and he will have one more release this year - Vaathi / Sir which is set to release on December 2. Naane Varuvean features Indhuja and Elli AvrRam as the female leads and has Prabhu and Yogi Babu in important roles, with cinematography and editing departments taken care of by Om Prakash and Bhuvan Srinivasan respectively.
