Popular actress Daisy Shah became a nationwide sensation after starring opposite Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the blockbuster Jai Ho in 2015. Prior to landing her first big role in Salman's film, she had made a name for herself in Hindi cinema and made special appearances, including playing the female lead in a couple of Kannada films. Daisy, who before her entry in films, was working as a background dancer in Bollywood, and broke down on stage during a recent event held at a five star hotel in Mumbai.

Daisy Shah had participated at the launch of a dance reality show called 'B You Reality In Reality', with the actress getting emotional when she began recalling her days as a dancer in Bollywood. Daisy, whose popularity in Bollywood shot up after being cast by Salman Khan in Jai Ho, revealed at the event how choreographer Shabina Khan had trained her in the beginning stages of her career. Daisy spoke about her journey with Khan and revealed that she had worked as her assistant when she began her career in films. In a video that has gone viral on social media where we can see Daisy getting teary-eyed, she tells media persons that there were times when Shabina would scold her and thanked her for making her who she is today.

Speaking about her bond with Shabina Khan, Daisy Shah said, "Shabina and I go back a long way. Today if I know anything about dance, even a bit of it, it is because of Shabina. Bosses are different leagues, real guru or assistants are the ones who train you the hard way and Shabina was the one when I was a dancer. Shabina and my story are similar. She is the strongest pillar of her family and so am I and I guess that is the way that we have connected. There are a lot of talents in the industry but sometimes you need a helping hand and that hand was Shabina’s when she came into my life."

Daisy, who became a rage among the youth after starring in Hate Story 3, was once again cast in a Salman Khan film in 2018. The film, Race 3, saw Daisy Shah this time playing Salman's on-screen sibling, and had turned out to be a huge box office success. Daisy started her career in South Indian cinema and had also appeared in a dance number in Jiiva's 2007 film, Pori, in which she shook her feet in the "Jigina Nadanthu" song.
