Crazy Gopalan releases today

Malayalam actor Dileep's Christmas release Crazy Gopalan, a hilarious comedy thriller directed by debutante Deepu Karunakaran, arrives today (December 24). The film is released in 70�theatres across Kerala. Earlier, the film was scheduled to be released on 19th December,�but�was postponed due to�non-completion of its post production work.

Dileep, one of the reigning superstars in Malayalam cinema, appears in seven different getups in this movie, donning the character of a hi tech thief�Kattila Gopalan, whose�peculiarity is to robs only the Kattila (door jamb) of houses�under construction. Newcomer Sunitha Varma alias Radha is the heroine whose funny posters have already become�the talk of the town. Crazy Gopalan has almost all comedy stars of Malayalam.

Ullattil Sasidharan is producing the film under the banner of Bhavana Media. Script is by the director himself. D. Kannan is the man behind the camera. Music is by Rahul Raj and lyrics by Giresh Puthencheri and Anil Panachooran. Other cast members include Biju Menon, Jagathy, Hari Sree Asokan, Salim Kumar, Janardhanan, Kochu Preman and others.

Meanwhile, Dileep is currently doing four films simultaneously: veteran Fazil's Moses D. Samuel, debutant Ranjith Sankar's Passenger, Chess fame Raj Babu's Colours and much-celebrated Bodyguard starring none other than South India's costliest actress Nayantara as the female lead. Colours will be released on Republic Day (January 26, 2009). Bodyguard has started shooting in and around Kottayam and is expected in Easter-Vishu�2009.
