Chiyaan Vikram is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Cobra which is all set to hit the screens worldwide on 31 August 2022 in multiple languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. On Thursday (August 18), the team of Cobra took to Twitter yesterday to promote their film via Twitter Spaces.

The panel consisted of Vikram himself, director Ajay Gnanamuthu, Srinidhi Shetty, Roshan Mathew, and cricketer Irfan Pathan while fans of all these actors joined in as listeners in this space. While answering to the questions asked by fans, social media influencers, media persons, and others, Vikram announced that he will be working with the director again on his next project after Pa. Ranjith's tentatively titled film Chiyaan61. He remarked that the new project has a unique story and he is excited to be part of it.  

Vikram expressed his great joy in being able to be part of the other interesting projects under his belt like Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan in which he will be portraying the character of Aditya Karikalan. In the film, Vikram will be starring alongside some of the most prominent faces of the Indian film industry such as Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. 

Cobra has been written and directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar under the banner of 7 Screen Studio. The original score and soundtrack for the film have been composed by Isai Puyazh A. R. Rahman, with cinematography handled by Harish Kannan and edited by Bhuvan Srinivasan. Cobra is touted to be an action thriller and will reportedly feature Vikram in more than 20 looks in the film.
