The second single song from Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan will be out today evening at 6 PM and the fans are eagerly looking forward to the track. The song is called Chola Chola and it is sung by Sathya Prakash, VM Mahalingam, and Nakul Abhyankar with lyrics penned by Ilango Krishnan. With just a few more hours there for the song's release, the makers have now released a short promo teaser of the song and it looks highly promising. The hook tune of the song has been released as the promo and it manages to pique our curiosity.

From what we see in the promo, 'Chola Chola' seems to be a potential chartbuster track and it looks like A.R.Rahman has weaved the magic once again. We also get to see a glimpse of Chiyaan Vikram's dance and we will be seeing more in the full lyric video that will be out this evening. 'Chola Chola' is the celebration song featuring Aditya Karikalan played by Chiyaan Vikram. Produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies, the film features Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles. Ponniyin Selvan is Mani Ratnam's most ambitious project and the fans have pinned high hopes on this historical epic.

Karthi would be playing the character of Vanthiya Thevan while Trisha and Jayam Ravi would be seen as Kundhavai and Arun Mozhi Varman respectively. The film's supporting cast includes the likes of R Sarath Kumar, R Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Jayaram, Lal, Aadukalam Kishore, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jaya Chitra, Mohan Raman, Rahman, Riyaz Khan, Arjun Chidambaram, and others. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on September 30 and the film is sure to take a grand opening at the box office. Ponniyin Selvan will have a pan Indian release in 5 languages - Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
