Madhan Karky's exciting statement about why Captain Miller is a different film for Dhanush and director Arun Matheswaran: "A unique way of writing..."

Two-time National Award-winning Tamil actor Dhanush's second big release of 2023, Captain Miller, will be hitting screens worldwide on December 15 and the excitement for the period action drama has been sky-high right from the moment the film went on floors last year. Directed by Rocky and Saani Kaayidham fame Arun Matheswaran under the prestigious Sathya Jyothi Films banner, the film includes dialogue written by acclaimed lyricist-writer Madhan Karky, who took part in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on X on Sunday, August 20. During the live-chat session, one fan queried Madhan Karky about Captain Miller, which has him penning the dialogues, who shared his excitement for the film, while also singing high praise for both Dhanush and Arun Matheswaran. 

Speaking about highly-anticipated period venture, Madhan Karky showered his appreciation for director Arun Matheswaran saying his writing in the scenes in the film and the manner in which he envisions them is distinctive. He wrote, "Arun has a unique way of writing his scenes and visualizing them. Captain miller will be a very different movie in the filmographies of Actor Dhanush and Director Arun. (sic)" Madhan Karky's latest statement has only added to the massive hype surrounding Captain Miller, which is currently in the post-production stages, with the film's intense and action-packed teaser released last month on Dhanush's birthday receiving a staggering response. Earlier in the day, Sreyas, CEO of Wunderbar Films, announced that Dhanush will be collaborating with Arun Matheswaran for a new project, leaving fans convinced that the actor is mighty impressed with the filmmaker's Captain Miller.

Captain Miller features a packed star cast that starting youth sensation Priyanka Arul Mohan playing the female lead, while iconic actor Kannada Dr. Shivarajkumar, who is basking in the massive response to his cameo in 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer, will be seen playing Dhanush's brother in the action-adventure film set in the 1930s. Furthermore, Maanagaram star Sundeep Kishan, Merku Thodarchi Malai hero Antony, Sillu Karuppatti actress Nivedhithaa Sathish, Thunivu villain John Kokken, Malayalam actor Moor, among others will be seen in pivotal roles. Captain Miller also marks the seventh occasion National Award-winning music director G. V. Prakash Kumar has composed for a Dhanush-starrer after their previous outings Polladhavan (2007), Aadukalam (2011), Mayakkam Enna (2011), Asuran (2019), Maaran (2022), and Vaathi (2023).
