Silambarasan TR and Yuvan Shankar Raja share a very good rapport and their friendship beautifully reflect through their songs which have turned out to be chartbuster hits in the past. Manmadhan, Vallavan, Silambattam, Vaanam, are some of the films in which the duo worked together. The much-loved combination will be returning in Simbu's upcoming film, Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The first single song from the film, titled 'Meherezylaa' was released recently and the song has been getting good reviews from the fans and music lovers. The rest of the album will be released in the next few months and the fans are eagerly looking forward to hearing them.

Having said that, director Alphonse Puthren of Neram and Premam fame recently expressed his interest to Yuvan Shankar Raja to see him and Simbu collaborate on a film that will be headed by Simbu. Though STR and Yuvan are collaborating in regular intervals, it has been a long time since STR took up the directorial hat. Vallavan was STR's last directorial film and it looks like Alphonse wants to see a film that is directed by STR with music by Yuvan. Alphonse Puthren's comment read, "I wish to see a Silambarasan film with Yuvan Shankar Raja music like Manmadhan & Vallavan. Wish both of you collaborate as film director and music director. A small request from a small of your creative expressions".

This comment has garnered good attention on social media and the fans of Simbu and Yuvan are sharing the image of this comment on their respective pages. They have also expressed their interest to see this collaboration happen. Alphonse Puthren is currently busy with the pre-production works of his next movie, Paattu, which will feature Fahadh Faasil and lady Superstar Nayanthara in the lead roles. The film has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs. Paattu will also mark Alphonse Puthren's debut as a music director.
