Ajith Kumar's Valimai has released in theatres across the world today (February 24) amidst high expectations and the film has opened on a phenomenal note. The advance bookings for Valimai look great and it is set to mint some fancy money at the box office. The 2.5 year long wait came to an end today and the fans are enjoying the celebratory mode. The film has opened to mixed reviews from the critics and general audience and we will have to wait until the weekend to see how the film's performance turns out. Whenever a big league star film releases, the FDFS scenes are always full of celebration and crowd.

Valimai was no exception. The FDFS shows of Valimai opened at 4 AM in theatres across Tamil Nadu and Rohini Silver Screens, Koyambedu was one of them. The film was played in 6 different screens in the theatre, thereby witnessing thousands and thousands of fans. However, the overcrowding has indeed resulted in certain damages in the theatre. A glass door was broken to pieces by the fans due to over pressure that was exerted. Inside the theatre, the seats have been physically damaged by the fans, thereby incurring the loss for the theatre owner.

Nikhilesh Surya, the Managing Director of Rohini Silver Screens, took to his official Twitter page to share the pictures of the damaged chairs in the theatres. The theatre exhibitors will now have to replace the damages with newer ones. Produced by Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects LLP in association with Zee Studios, Valimai has popular Telugu actor Kartikeya as the antagonist. Kaala fame Huma Qureshi plays the female lead in this action entertainer that has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with additional score by Ghibran. Nirav Shah and Dhilip Subbarayan have headed the cinematography and stunt choreography respectively.
