Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman's son A. R. Ameen shared a never-before-seen photo of himself with 'Thalapathy' Vijay's son Jason Sanjay on Tuesday evening, July 25. Posting the picture on his Instagram Stories, A. R. Ameen conveyed his birthday wishes to the Tamil superstar's son writing, "Happy birthday Sanjay, have a great year god bless !! 🤗❤️ (sic)". It is unknown whether the photo was taken recently on Jason Sanjay's birthday or was from a casual meeting a while back, with fans too now extending their wishes on social media.

Both Jason Sanjay and A. R. Ameen have been good buddies for years now and were seen bonding over a video call on Skype back in 2020, with a screenshot of their interaction going viral. Although 'Thalapathy' Vijay and A. R. Rahman continue to reign in Tamil cinema, their sons too have been making a name for themselves in recent times. A. R. Ameen has sung songs in films featuring his Oscar Award winner dad's music like 'Maula Wa Sallim' (O Kadhal Kanmani), 'Pullinangal' (2.0), 'Sooraavali Ponnu' (Atrangi Re Tamil version Galatta Kalyanam), 'Ninaivirukka' (Pathu Thala), and most recently 'Veerane' (Maamannan) to name a notable few. Jason Sanjay, on the other hand, has been showing a keen interest in filmmaking over the years and recently directed a short film titled Pull The Trigger

As for A. R. Rahman and Vijay, both of them have big projects lined up in the year ahead. While A. R. Rahman's compositions will be next heard in Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan coming out this Diwali in November, he also awaits the release of Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn's period sports film Maidaan. Furthermore, the celebrated composer has a couple of recently-announced biggies starting with KH 234, which marks the big reunion of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after 35 years since their Nayakan (1987), followed by Dhanush's third outing with director Aanand L. Rai titled Tere Ishk Mein after their Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021). As for Vijay, the leading Tamil actor recently completed filming Leo under blockbuster filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction, which is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide on October 19. He was also announced in May to be joining hands with hit director Venkat Prabhu for the tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, which is being produced by AGS Entertainment and will feature music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
