உலக கலைஞர்களால் உலகின் உயரிய விருது என அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட ஆஸ்கர் அகாடமி விருதுகளை கைப்பற்ற உலகநாடுகளின் திரையுலகினர் போட்டி போட்டுக் கொண்டு ஓடிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றன. அதன்படி கடந்த 94 ஆண்டுகளாக தலைசிறந்த திரைப்படங்களுக்கும் கலைஞர்களுக்கும் விருதுகளை கொடுத்து வருகிறது ஆஸ்கர் விருது அமைப்பினர். இந்நிலையில் கடந்த ஆண்டு வெளிவந்து மக்கள் மனதை வென்ற உலக நாடுகளின் திரைப்படங்களில் தலை சிறந்த திரைப்படங்கள் பல பிரிவுகளில் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து விருது வழங்க 95 வது ஆஸ்கர் விருது விழா ஏற்பாடு செய்தது. அதன்படி நிறைய திரைப்படங்கள் இந்த ஆண்டு பரிந்துரை செய்யபட்டது. அதில் இந்திய நாட்டிலிருந்து ராஜாமௌலியின் ‘ஆர் ஆர் ஆர்’ படத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற ‘நாட்டு நாட்டு’ பாடல் சிறந்த பாடல் பிரிவிலும் இயக்குனர் ஷனாக் சென்னின் ஆல் தட் பீரித்ஸ் என்ற திரைப்படம் சிறந்த ஆவண படம் பிரிவிலும் கார்த்திகி கான்சால்வேஸ் வின் ‘தி எலிஃபண்ட் விஸ்பரர்ஸ்’ திரைப்படம் சிறந்த ஆவண குறும்பட பிரிவிலும் பரிந்துரையில் ப[போட்டி பெற்றது. இந்நிலையில் அமெரிக்காவில் லாஸ் ஏஞ்சல்ஸ் நகரில் நடைபெற்ற ஆஸ்கர் விழாவில் உலகில் தலைசிறந்த தொழில்நுட்ப கலைஞர்கள், படைப்பாளர்கள் முன்னிலையில் சிறந்த ஆவண குறும்பட பிரிவில் தி எலிஃபண்ட் விஸ்பரர்ஸ் ஆவணப்படம் விருதினை வென்றது. இந்தியாவில் விருது வெல்லும் முதல் படம் இது என்ற பெருமையை இதன்மூலம் தக்கவைத்துள்ளது. மேலும் சிறந்த பாடல் பிரிவில் ராஜமௌலியின் ஆர் ஆர் ஆர் படத்த்தின் நாட்டு நாட்டு பாடல் விருது வென்றது. விருதினை பாடலின் இசையமைப்பாளர் எம் எம் கீரவாணி மற்றும் பாடலாசிரியர் சந்திரபோஸ் ஆகியோர் பெற்றுக் கொண்டனர்.
இதனையடுத்து இந்திய ரசிகர்கள் மற்றும் திரைப்பிரபலங்கள் கோலாகலமாக கொண்டாடி வருகின்றனர். இதில் ஆர் ஆர் ஆர் மற்றும் தி எலிஃபண்ட் விஸ்பரர்ஸ் படங்களுக்கும் படக்குழுவிற்கும் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினிகாந்த், நடிகர்கள் சூர்யா, கீர்த்தி சுரேஷ், மகேஷ் பாபு, பிரபு தேவா, விஜய் தேவாரக்கொண்டா, பார்த்திபன், உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் மற்றும் இசையமைப்பாளர் ஏ ஆர் ரஹ்மான், தயாரிப்பாளர் தாணு உள்ளிட்ட பலர் தங்களது வாழ்த்துகளை தெரிவித்து வருகின்றனர்.
