Vijay Antony’s start to 2019 has kicked off on a positive note as the composer turned actor's action thriller film, Kolaigaran, has been announced for a May release. Directed by Andrew Louis, the venture has been produced by Diya Movies and includes ‘Action King’ Arjun as a cop with an intriguing teaser released earlier this week.

It must be noted that Vijay Antony also has upcoming films namely Agni Siragugal with Arun Vijay under Moodar Koodam fame Naveen’s direction, Thamilarasan under Babu Yogeswaran’s direction with music by Ilaiyaraaja and as a cop in Kaaki Da alongside Sathyaraj and Jai.
Meanwhile, it was also announced by director Ananda Krishnan of Metro fame not long back that he would be joining hands with Vijay Antony for a political film to be produced TD Raja’s Chenthur Films. That said, sources close to us have now revealed that pre-production work on the project is nearing completion with the team planning to begin filming towards the end of May or early June.
It must be noted that Vijay Antony’s yet-to-be-titled film with Ananda Krishnan has NS Uthayakumar handling the cinematography, Uru fame Johan scoring the music with an official announcement regarding the rest of the cast and crew expected to be made in the days ahead. The upcoming film will be his second political venture after Yaman, which was released in early 2017.
