In a shocking turn of events, ace actor Vivekh passed away around 4.35 AM, this morning (April 17). His demise has come as a big shocker for the entire film industry and the people of Tamil Nadu. Vivekh suffered a cardiac arrest (cardiogenic shock) at his house on Friday morning (April 16) and he was immediately rushed to the SIMS hospital in Vadapalani, Chennai. The doctors examined his health condition and informed that he is critical. He was admitted to the ICU ward in the hospital. There were speculations that said that the cardiac arrest was a side effect of his Covid 19 vaccine, but the doctors clarified last night, stating that there is no connection between his cardiac arrest and the vaccine.

After failing to respond to the medical treatment, Vivekh was declared dead at 4.35 AM this morning. He was 59. Vivekh's death is definitely a huge loss to the Indian film industry and no one can fill in his place. His comedies will continue to live in our hearts. Vivekh was also one of the fewer comedians who used the medium of cinema to bring awareness about many social issues among the people and he was widely appreciated for the same by a lot of iconic leaders. Vivekh was conferred with the Kalaivanar Award for his contributions to Tamil Cinema by Tamil Nadu Government. He is also a recipient of Padmashri honour which was given to him in 2009.

He has acted in more than 220 films. After making his debut as an actor with K Balachander's directorial, Manathil Uruthi Vendum, Vivekh went on to act in a lot of notable films.
