Jyotika's Ponmagal Vandhal got released a few weeks back and it opened to a fairly positive reception from the family audience. The film was recognised and lauded for its noble message and the impressive performances of the lead actors. Produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment and directed by debutant JJ Fredrick, Ponmagal Vandhal featured five directors - K Bhagyaraj, R Parthiban, Prathap Pothen, Thyagarajan, and Pandiarajan forming the supporting cast. With a good response given to the film, producer Suriya presented a special gift to his director Fredrick.

Yes, Suriya presented a brand new MacBook Pro to Fredrick and the news was shared by Fredrick on his official Twitter page. Apart from the MacBook Pro, Suriya also gifted a few other presents that were wrapped. He wrote a small letter card to Fredrick, thanking him for Ponmagal Vandhal. Suriya, in his letter, wrote “Thank you for such a beautiful film for 2D. Hoping every film of yours will be a proud watch! Love Always - Suriya & Jyotika, Diya & Dev.”

Fredrick shared the picture and said he is very grateful to Suriya and Jyotika, adding that knowing them personally is the best gift for him anyday.
