The film industry is slowly getting back to track and we’ve been seeing a lot of films resuming production with a minimal crew. Having said that, it has now been announced that STR’s highly anticipated Maanaadu will resume from the first week of November. Yes! The film’s producer, Suresh Kamatchi shared this new update on his Twitter page and it has made the fans happy and super glad. Suresh tweeted, “Wait s over. #Maanaadu shoot resumes from November first week. #STR #SilambarasanTR @vp_offl @kalyanipriyan @iam_SJSuryah @Premgiamaren @Anjenakirti @johnmediamanagr”.

This new development definitely sounds exciting and it looks like Venkat Prabhu and team are busy with the planning works. Simbu is expected to complete shooting for his untitled next with director Suseenthiran by the end of this month and following that, he would resume shooting for Maanaadu. Considering the fact that Maanaadu is being planned to be made on a grand scale, it is going to be a challenging task for the team to shoot the film amidst the pandemic. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Maanaadu features an ensemble star cast including Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, SJ Surya, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, Subbu Panchu, Manoj Bharathiraja, Daniel Annie Pope, and others.

The film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja who shares a fantastic success ratio with both Simbu and Venkat Prabhu. We can expect Yuvan to deliver a chartbuster album and the fans are eagerly looking forward to it. On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Richard M Nathan, editing by Praveen KL, production design by Rajeevan and stunts by Stunt Silva. Simbu will be seen playing the role of a Muslim politician called Abdul Khaaliq and his makeover for the character looked interesting in the pictures that have been released so far.

Simbu’s last release did not perform well at the box office and hence there are high expectations on Maanaadu. With an energetic director like Venkat Prabhu at the helm, we can expect a refreshing newer version of STR that would be loved by everyone.
