Pandian Stores fame actress Chithu VJ died by suicide on December 9 and her demise created a sensational buzz and outrage on social media. The fans across the state were taken aback, hearing about her death. According to reports, she was found hanging in a hotel room, but the fans doubted if she could have been murdered. People felt that Chitra was not a person who would kill herself as she has always been a very lovable, sportive, and positive person. Chitra's mother too denied the news about the suicide and doubted that there is a mystery surrounding her daughter's death.

Her mortal remains was kept at Kilpauk Medical College yesterday for post mortem and other formalities. People were eagerly waiting to get better clarity about the death through the post mortem report. During the noon hours of Thursday (December 10), the post-mortem report was officially released and it was confirmed by the Doctors and Police Officials that she died by suicide. A certain section of people raised doubts over the scars and injuries that were seen on Chitra's face, but the report has suggested that those bruises were caused by Chitra's nails.

So, the post mortem report has confirmed that Chitra committed suicide. Though the post mortem reports have confirmed that it is a suicide, Chitra's fans and well-wishers do not seem to be convinced. The police officials are investigating the incident to get a better clarity on the reasons that could have possibly made her take the extreme decision.

Chitra also acted in the second season of Saravanan Meenatchi serial and she played the role of Kalaiyarasi, Vettaiyan's friend. She also took part in several dance program shows like Dance Jodi Dance, Zee Dance League, Jodi Fun Unlimited, and more. Chitra was 28 years old when she breathed her last.
