Popular Tamil television serial actress Chithu VJ died by suicide in the early hours of Wednesday morning and she was found hanging in her hotel room. According to reports, she took part in a program's shooting at EVP Film City and the shoot got over only around 2.30 AM midnight. It was also heavily raining during that time. Considering that it wouldn't be practically possible to drive back home, Chithu decided to stay in a private hotel, nearby, for the night. However, no one thought that that night would be her last. Chithu's parents have filed a police complaint, demanding an immediate investigation regarding the incident. The Police officials have also begun their inquiry process.

It is said that Chithu's fiance, Hemanth, who is a popular entrepreneur, accompanied her during her stay in the hotel. The Police are investigating from various angles and more clarity is expected in the coming days. Chithu's death has put everyone in a deep state of shock and the fans are expressing their sadness on social media. Similarly, Chithu's colleagues and fellow actors from the television industry also shared their condolence messages on their respective micro-blogging pages.

Chithu played the female lead in the serial, Pandian Stores (Vijay TV) which helped her get a big breakthrough in her acting career. She had a very good rapport with all the co-actors from the serial and we've seen her sharing videos from the shooting spot several times. Hearing her demise, Chithu's co-stars from the serial immediately arrived at the Kilpauk Medical College Mortuary to see her mortal remains. Stalin, who plays one of the lead characters as Sathyamoorthy Pandian in the serial, was one of the firsts to visit the mortuary.

While coming out of the mortuary, Stalin was in uncontrollable tears and he was consoled by the people around him. Veteran actress Shanthi Williams who plays the role of 'Pillaiyar Patti' Parvathy, also visited the mortuary to see Chithu's body. More actors from the Pandian stores team were also seen at the mortuary. Actor Kumaran Thangarajan, who played Chithu's pair in Pandian Stores, took to his official Instagram page to share his statement.

Expressing his shock over the incident, Kumaran wrote, "You were known for your boldness. To many women you were an inspiration. I wish you had fought back. This was not an Answer Never will be.. R.I.P."
