Radikaa Sarathkumar is currently acting in Chithi 2 which is aired on Sun TV in its prime slot at 9.30 PM. The serial featured Radikaa, Ponvannan, Nandan Loganathan, Preethi Sharma, Meera Vasudevan, Shilpa, Mahalakshmi, Sakthi Saravanan and others in the lead roles. The serial which had its first episode premiered on January 27, has so far crossed 58 episodes (until April 3). Due to the global pandemic situation, the serial's shooting was stalled and the last episode was aired on April 3.

After a gap of more than 3 months, the shooting of Chithi 2 has now resumed after the Government's order to resume television serial shootings. The production has resumed as per the Government norms with precautionary measures to stay away from Corona. Radikaa took to her Twitter page to share this news with her followers and fans who were delighted to hear the news.

However, a few important actors have been replaced due to Corona scare. Radikaa tweeted, "#chithi2 and the show goes on. We had to replace actors who are down with health issues. Taken all necessary precautions and being safe is important. Soon on @SunTV #primetime". Actors who weren't ready to take part in the shooting during this pandemic have been replaced by other actors. The main replacement happens to be Ponvannan who played Radikaa's husband in the serial. He is one of the leads of the serial and it is indeed an important change. Going forward, veteran actor Nizhalgal Ravi will be the new actor who will be playing the role of 'Shanmugapriyan'.

Also, actress Shilpa who was seen playing the role of 'Lakshmi Gomathinayagam' has been replaced by Jayalekshmi. Actress Nikhila Rao who played the role of 'Nandhini', has now been replaced by Gayathri Yuvraaj. Though this replacement of few actors have disappointed a certain section of fans, the news about the resuming of Chithi 2 shooting has excited the fans.
