Tamil Nadu on Thursday announced the Class 12 public examination results with the pass percentage increased by 1% this year in comparison to last year, the board said. Class XII students in TN have recorded a pass percentage of 92.3% during the 2019-20 academic year and is higher than 91.3% from the previous year. A total of 7,79,931 students appeared for the Class 12 exams from schools with 7,20,209 clearing them. Girls have once again topped the pass percentage by 5.39% at 94.8% compared to the boys who stand at 89.4%. 

The state government has also released a circular informing that the results of 700 students who were absent for the final Class 12 public exams on March 24 will be announced on July 27 after the re-examination. The results have been sent through SMS to students individually by the board. Furthermore, the results can be accessed by students on the below websites:

The dates for the application for copy of answer sheets, revaluation and retotalling will be announced on a later date. 

TN government has declared that 2,120 schools have secured 100% pass percentage this year out of the 7,127 schools. Tiruppur has topped the pass percentage among the districts with 97.1% while Erode has registered 96.99% and Coimbatore at 96.39%. A total of 2,506 differently-abled students out of 2,835 students have cleared the Class 12 exams for the academic year 2019-20. 

The highest pass percentage has been registered by the science stream students at 93.64%. Students in the commerce and arts streams have registered 92.95% and 84.65% pass percentage. Vocational stream students have gotten the lowest pass percentage with 79.88% students clearing the exams.
