Admiration and adulation isn't restricted to the common man and has been seen over the years as personalities from various walks of life show their love for their favorite stars in the entertainment industry. Likewise, 'Thalapathy' Vijay who enjoys a massive fan following in South India and is also one of the biggest stars in the country, had his name trending in several parts around the world after the release of his Master teaser this Diwali. Among the many who have expressed their unparalleled love for Vijay, Tamil Nadu cricketer and Kolkata Knight Riders player Varun Chakravarthy carries special love for the superstar in his heart.

Varun Chakravarthy, who impressed cricket fans around the country in IPL 2020, especially in the match against the Delhi Capitals team where he picked up five wickets, has now shared a picture of his first-time meeting with 'Thalapathy' Vijay. The up-and-coming cricketer posted the picture of his meeting in which both of them are seen fist-bumping each other, similar to how the Master teaser ends where Vijay and 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi clash. He had not long back in an interview mentioned that he would like to meet Vijay someday and his wish has now finally come true along with a million dollar picture that he will cherish throughout his lifetime. Varun, who also sports a tattoo of Vijay's logo from the movie Thalaivaa, was selected for the T20 squad for India's tour to Australia, but was forced to drop out due to injury. As for 'Thalapathy' Vijay, his Master, initially announced for an April 9 worldwide release, had to be indefinitely postponed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, with producer Xavier Britto and director Lokesh Kanagaraj asserting a while back that the film will only be coming out in theatres and not directly on any OTT platform. The thunderous response to the Master teaser alone has shown the level of expectations and the excitement the film is carrying, which will only go higher once it nears its theatrical release. Apart from Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, Master also featuring chart-buster music by Anirudh Ravichander, includes Malavika Mohanan playing the role of the female lead, with Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Gouri Kishan, Master Mahendran, KPY Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Azhagam Perumal among others in the supporting cast.
