Madhavan is someone who is quite active on Twitter and he regularly shares updates about his projects, keeping his fans engaged. A few days before, a section of media had reported that Madhavan is in talks to act in the biopic of popular industrialist, Ratan Tata. To check the authenticity of the news, one of the fans asked Madhavan about this speculation on Twitter and Maddy clarified that the news is not true. To make things clear, the Vikram Vedha actor tweeted, “Hey unfortunately it’s not true. It was just a wish at some fans will made the poster. No such project is even on the pipeline or being discussed.”. This instant clarification from Madhavan has put the rumours to rest.

Madhavan is all geared up and set for the release of his next Tamil film, Maara, which is scheduled to release next week, on December 17. This feel-good breezy drama will have a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video platform and let us see how the film is received. Maara is the official Tamil remake of Dulquer Salmaan - Parvathy starrer Charlie (Malayalam) and it is going to be interesting to see the changes that have been made to suit the taste of the Tamil audience. Maara is directed by Dhilip Kumar who has earlier made the independent Tamil film, Kalki, which is streaming on Netflix. Produced by Pramod Films, Maara features Shraddha Srinath as the female lead and Sshivada and Moulee in pivotal roles. The film has music scored by Ghibran.

Madhavan is also busily working on his debut directorial - Rocketry: The Nambi Effect which is being made in Hindi, Tamil, and English. Rocketry is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of ISRO. Bankrolled by Tricolour Films in association with Varghese Moolan Pictures, this film has music scored by Sam CS, cinematography by Sirsha Ray, and editing by Bijith Bala. Rocketry has been shot on a grand scale with a high budget and it promises to be an exciting watch. Simran plays the female lead, as Madhavan's wife in this film.

Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a cameo in the English and Hindi versions of the film, while the Tamil version will have Suriya reprising the cameo character.
