Actor Kamal Haasan is now an active politician who is proactive on social media voicing out the issues of the public. He has even offered his Alwarpet house to the government to make it a temporary hospital to treat COVID-19 infected patients. He had even appreciated Nirmala Sitharaman and the Prime Minister for allocating funds for the underprivileged and the needy during this crisis lockdown situation. Now he has made another request to Tamil Nadu chief Minster and health Minister. Kamal has asked them to work on the next step. Just isolation is not enough. It looks like lockdown measures will not extinguish epidemics. The government needs to take aggressive measures to find, isolate, test, treat and trace victims.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of WHO says that “To slow the spread of #COVID19, many countries introduced "lockdown" measures. But on their own, these measures will not extinguish epidemics. We call on all countries to use this time to attack the #coronavirus. You've created a 2nd window of opportunity.” Sharing Tedros article, Kamal Haasan has urged TN government to take quick actions - “வீட்டின் உள் இருத்தல் என்பது முதல்படி தான், ஆனால் அது மட்டுமே தீர்வாகாது என உலக சுகாதார நிறுவனத்தின் தலைமை அதிகாரி அறிவுறுத்துகிறார். அடுத்த கட்டத்தை நோக்கி வேகமாக முன்னேற வேண்டிய நேரம் இது. Edappadi K Palaniswami #DrCVijayabaskar”
