A few days before, we had reported that the sequel of Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu is titled Irandam Kuththu. The film will be directed by Santhosh P Jayakumar who helmed the first part. He has also directed films like Hara Hara Mahadevaki and Ghajinikanth. Santhosh will also be making his debut as an actor with the sequel of Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu and it is going to be interesting to see the actor inside him. Santhosh is an adult comedy specialist and he made it evident through Hara Hara Mahadevaki and Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu. He would be looking forward to continuing that moment with Irandam Kuththu as well.

It has now been officially announced that the first look poster of this film will be released tomorrow (October 1) at 6 PM on social media. The poster will be released by actor Gautham Karthik who played the lead role in the first part. Due to other commitments, Gautham couldn’t be a part of IAMK 2 and hence we are going to witness Santhosh P Jayakumar making his debut as an actor. This film has already been censored by the CBFC and the makers have obtained an ‘A’ certificate, as expected. Director Santhosh has confirmed that the film will release only in the theatres and having said that we can expect the movie to have a good opening at the box office, provided the Corona scene gets better.

Irandam Kuththu’s worldwide theatrical rights have been acquired by Rockfort Entertainment who have distributed films like Meesaiya Murukku, Natpe Thunai, and more. This film will have Shalu Shamu, Karishma, Akriti Singh, and Meenal as the female leads. Daniel Annie Pope, Motta Rajendran, Chaams, Ravi Mariya form the supporting cast. The makers have shot the film in ECR, Thailand, and in a few other places in Chennai.

The first look poster and teaser of Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu created a huge buzz on social media and will the same reception be there for the sequel? Well, we will have to wait until tomorrow evening to know about it. Stay tuned to this space for more updates. Check out Santhosh P Jayakumar’s update below:
