Cricket in itself is a very interesting sport which was made all the more exciting with the advent of the Twenty 20 game! This short format of the game pushes all the players to the extreme as they have to be on the money each given time and cannot afford to take their time to settle and then show-off their skills! The Indian Premier League (IPL) which is into its 13th season now, is the world's biggest and most followed T20 tournaments with the best players from across different countries coming together to put up the biggest cricketing carnival, annually! Now, today's match sees Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on the Mumbai Indians, lead by Rohit Sharma! This is a highly anticipated match as Virat Kohli's is the Indian Cricket Team's captain too while Rohit Sharma is the captain with the most number of IPL trophies!

However, today's match holds a lot of significance for Virat Kohli, as it will take him into an exclusive club! He will be entering the club for captains who have lead their teams in over 150 matches as today's game marks his 150th as a captain! Virat Kohli will be in exclusive company, lead by MS Dhoni! Kohli becomes the third captain from India and fourth overall, to join this list! This elusive club is being lead by MS Dhoni, with 273 matches as captain, followed by the only non-Indian player Darren Sammy (West Indies) with 208 matches behind him as captain. The other Indian on this list is Gautham Gambhir, who has lead in 170 matches, most of them being for his IPL team - Kolkata Knight Riders!

Dhoni has captained two different IPL teams - Chennai Super Kings & Rising Pune Supergiants (in the two years that CSK was banned from taking part in the IPL), apart from leading India in T20 Internationals. Of his 149 matches as captain so far, Kohli has lead his IPL franchise RCB in 112 games with the remaining 37 being as captain of Team India! Kohli has a mixed record as captain in T20s with 72 wins and 67 losses, among his 149 games of captain. The remaining 10 games have either ended in a draw or ended without a result. In IPL 2020, Kohli's RCB made a winning start before going down very badly to Kings XI Punjab with a very huge margin of defeat. Virat himself is not in the greatest of forms with the bat and him dropping two crucial catches was one of the biggest reasons for the huge loss in their last match. Being the fierce competitor that he is, Virat would surely be looking to come back stronger than ever! Let's see how King Kohli fares in his 150th match as captain!
