Producer Harvey Weinstein tested positive for Coronavirus while in prison
Former Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein has reportedly tested positive for Coronavirus while in prison. Harvey has been serving his jail time for rape and sexual assault charges. The tainted celebrity was recently found guilty for sexual offences and has been sentenced to 23 years of imprisonment. Weinstein is being locked up at Wende Correctional facility in upstate New York. It remains unclear whether Weinstein had already contracted Coronavirus in the Rikers Island facility where he was incarcerated before he arrived at Wende Correctional Facility last Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Harvey who recently turned 68 is also a heart patient, who was hospitalized with heart issues a few weeks back. Now he has been diagnosed and quarantined just days after being transferred to the state’s maximum-security Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo. He is one of two inmates who have tested positive. More details regarding Harvey is awaited.
