Dhanush's highly anticipated Karnan is done with the censor process and is right on track for its massive theatrical release. Karnan has been cleared by the Censor Board with an U/A certification and it will release on April 9, as per the plan. We are sure that the U/A certification will be only for the film's action and its treatment. The announcement regarding the certification was made by the film's director Mari Selvaraj. Karnan promises to be high on human emotions and action and it is expected to bring out the strong performer inside Dhanush in flying colours. After making an impressive debut as a filmmaker with strong political and social ideologies in Pariyerum Perumal, Mari Selvaraj is now back with his second outing, and let us hope that the success streak continues.

Karnan is also said to be a strong film that will strike a chord with the audience and it is expected to be an intense watch. The makers have managed to create huge hype and buzz with just 4 songs, one teaser, and a few posters. Even the super hit teaser did not have much of Dhanush. We only got to see Dhanush for a few seconds, riding a horse, and we haven't seen much of the film's visuals. We do not know a lot about the film or its plot or its characters and hence the curiosity is definitely high. Director Mari Selvaraj has created an unique world of interesting and rooted characters and the film is going to revolve around their lives and strong emotions.

Karnan is produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations and has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The talented composer has delivered a chartbuster album that supplements the core premise and theme of the film and his background score is going to play a key role in the film. Theni Eswar has handled the film's cinematography, while the editing has been take care of by Selva RK. Popular Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan will be making her debut as an actress in Tamil cinema with Karnan and she couldn't have asked for a better launch pad.

The film's star cast also includes Lal, Natty, Yogi Babu, Gouri Kishan, Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, and others. For now, check out Mari Selvaraj's official tweet about Karnan's censor details here:
