2021 is the year many in the entertainment industry are hoping will be a positive turnaround after the disastrous 2020, which saw grief world over due to the coronavirus pandemic. The year has already seen a number of positive events taking place such as weddings, engagements, including newborns being welcomed to the world. In that light, another wedding recently took place in Kerala as popular Malayalam TV actor Prabhin, known for playing the character Aravind Krishnan on the hit serial Chembarathi, tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Swathi at the Sree Rama Temple in Thriprayar.

Pictures and videos from the Prabhin-Swathi wedding have gone viral on social media, with the young actor looking dashing in his traditional avatar, while the bride stood out in her Kerala Kasavu saree. Although the wedding was a low-key affair, Prabhin didn't fail to throw a grand party for his colleagues from his TV show. In a video recently posted by Neeyum Njanum actor Shiju, several notable TV stars were tapping their feet and shaking their legs at Prabhin's reception. We also see actress Lakshmi from Neeyum Njanum, including Chembarathi actors Sumi and Blessy Kurian having a blast at the wedding reception, with fans as well complimenting them on their celebrations.

A remake of the Telugu serial Muddha Mandaram, Chembarathi is airing on the Zee Keralam TV channel and began its telecast in late 2018. More than 600 episodes have aired so far, with the show receiving a huge response, including garnering a big fan following since it began airing. Chembarathi is the third remake after the hit Sembaruthi airing on Zee Tamil, with the Kannada version titled Paaru being broadcast on Zee Kannada. Chembarathi had faced a snag due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation after which all Zee Keralam serials stopped production last year in March. Shooting on the show resumed once the government gave the nod, with production on new episodes once again taking flight from June 2020. The show saw a drastic change being made when lead actress Aishwarya Bhaskar was replaced by Thara Kalyan.
