Over the years, Arun Vijay has proven to be a credible performer, especially in films like 'Thala' Ajith's Yennai Arindhaal, Kuttram 23, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Thadam to name a notable few. All set to be seen next as a cop in the action thriller Sinam directed by GNR Kumaravelan of Wagah fame, the film has been produced by the actor's father Vijayakumar under the Movie Slides Pvt Ltd banner. With an intriguing teaser for Sinam already released to a largely positive response, Arun Vijay on Sunday took to social media to announce that the film will be getting a grand theatrical release.

Arun Vijay tweeted saying Sinam will be getting only a theatrical release now that the number of COVID-19 pandemic cases in the state and many other regions have begun going down. He wrote, "#Sinam is all set to meet its audience at a grand theatrical release!! With the pandemic situation easing down, #Sinam too will hit the theatres only.. Let's hope for a better and safer environment in the coming days. #SinamTheatricalRelease." As of now, there is no release date and we can expect an announcement regarding it in the days ahead once theatres begin screening films once again. Sinam is an important film for Arun Vijay as it will see him as a cop again after he played the role convincingly in previous ventures namely Kuttram 23 and Mafia: Chapter 1

Paired opposite Kuppathu Raja heroine Pallak Lalwani, Arun Vijay's Sinam has been carrying quite a lot of expectations, with the makers going the extra mile during filming by erecting a mammoth set of a slum at a cost of Rs. 45 lakhs in Padappai on the outskirts of Chennai. The film's cast also includes Kaali Venkat, RNR Manohar, KSG Venkatesh, Marumalarchi Bharathi among others, with music by Shabir, Gopinath handling the cinematography, editing by Raja Mohammed, while R Saravanan has penned the film's story and dialogues.
