Tamil cinema fans will know Anita Hassanandani after her debut in 2002 in the Manoj Bharathiraja and Kunal starrer Varushamellam Vasantham. She went on to land her first big Tamil film role in 'Chiyaan' Vikram's Samurai in 2002, with the film going to be praised by critics despite not faring as expected on the commercial front. Subsequently, Anita went on to star in Telugu and Kannada languages, while also playing the female lead in a couple of other Tamil ventures titled Nayagan (2008) and Maharaja (2011).

One major Tamil film in Anita Hassanandani's career was when she was cast opposite Ravi Krishna in the S. A. Chandrasekhar-directed Tamil action-thriller Sukran in 2005. Sukran, which also included 'Thalapathy' Vijay in an extended cameo as a criminal lawyer, turned out to be a profitable film at the box office during its release in 2005. Despite Vijay's presence elevating the film a notch, Sukran's story arc for the most part revolved around Ravi Krishna and Anita's relationship.

Below are pictures after Anita's delivery, including a video shared by producer Ekta Kapoor:
