Bell Bottom is an upcoming Hindi action drama that features Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the shooting of the film kickstarted with all precautionary measures at Glasgow, Scotland. Considering that it wasn’t safe to shoot in India, the makers flew to the UK to carry out the shooting. Before beginning to shoot, the entire team was in quarantine for 14 days and we saw updates about it in the last week of August. Following that, it has now been announced that the Glasgow schedule has been wrapped up and the team is all set for the next plan of action. The team will fly to London to shoot some of the important scenes in a closed setup.

The first schedule at Glasgow happened with fullest precautions and the same is expected to be practised in the upcoming schedules as well. Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter page to share this update with his fans and followers. He shared the Bell Bottom team picture and wrote, “So many happy faces in one frame...that’s the result of a good schedule. Goodbye Glasgow, hello London #BellBottom @Vaaniofficial @ranjit_tiwari @jackkybhagnani @honeybhagnani @poojafilms @EmmayEntertain”. Akshay Kumar's fans have been delighted about this development and have also requested him to stay safe during the shoot.

According to reports, the story of Bell Bottom is set in the 1980s and will feature Akshay Kumar as a spy agent. Majority of the shooting will take place in the UK and the team will shoot with all precautionary measures in place. The film will feature Vaani Kapoor as the female lead while Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta, Thalaivasal Vijay will also be seen in important roles. Produced by Pooja Entertainment in association with Emmay Entertainment, Bell Bottom is directed by Ranjit M Tewari. The film is tentatively scheduled to hit the screens on April 2, next year.

Akshay Kumar is also gearing up for the release of his next film, Laxmmi Bomb which will have a direct OTT release on Disney + Hotstar platform. This horror comedy is directed by Raghava Lawrence and is the official Hindi remake of Kanchana. Kiara Advani will be seen as the female lead in this film. Laxmmi Bomb is scheduled to release on November 9, ahead of the Diwali festival and it has got huge expectations among the fans. Notably, it is one of the first mega big films to skip the theatrical release and hence the trade experts are eagerly looking forward to see how the film performs in the digital market.
