Yesterday (May 14), leading Tamil actor Ajith Kumar made a donation of Rs 25 lakhs towards the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Relief Fund for controlling the spread of Corona which has gotten intense in the last few weeks. The news went viral on social media and people appreciated Ajith for his kind gesture. It has now come to everyone's notice that Ajith has donated an amount of Rs 10 Lakhs to the FEFSI Union for the welfare of the daily wage workers in the Tamil film industry. FEFSI Union comprises of the daily wage workers like lightmen, production crew members, assistants, and others and this donation will be provided to them.

The film shootings have come to a halt due to the ongoing medical situation in the country and Ajith's timely donation would prove to be useful for the livelihood of the FEFSI workers. Ajith is one of the first members of the Tamil film industry to make his donation towards the FEFSI Union and we can expect many other stars to follow suit. The news regarding Ajith's donation was officially confirmed by FEFSI President, RK Selvamani.

Ajith Kumar, on his professional front, will next be seen in Valimai which is directed by H Vinoth. Produced by Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects LLP, the film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Valimai is an action thriller that features Ajith Kumar in the role of a cop and he will be seen performing some high octane action sequences in the movie. Valimai features popular Telugu actor Kartikeya as the villain and he will be making his debut in Tamil cinema with Valimai. The film's first look was supposed to release on May 1 for Ajith's birthday, but due to the severity of the second wave of Covid-19, the makers decided to hold back the release.
