Atlee's mass response to Hindi cinema fans missing 'Thalapathy' Vijay in Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, shares an update about their next reunion

Atlee talks about teaming up with thalapathy vijay once again at shah rukh khan jawan screening - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Tamil filmmaker Atlee is on cloud nine these days after the stellar response to his big Bollywood debut, Jawan, starring Hindi superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The mass action entertainer grossed 660.03 crores in global box office collections as of Thursday, September 14, and is continuing to witness a massive audience turnout in theatres worldwide. With Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan turning out to be a phenomenal commercial success, Atlee, who attended a screening addressed the press, who also queried him about Hindi cinema fans missing Tamil superstar 'Thalapathy' Vijay in the film.

Responding to a reporter's question about Vijay at a Jawan screening, Atlee went on to inform that he and the leading Tamil cinema actor will join hands again. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the blockbuster Tamil director said, "We will come back with something soon." Prior to the release of Jawan, there was much debate and speculation that Vijay could likely be making a cameo appearance in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer, which did not happen. With Atlee now sharing his thoughts about a future collaboration with Vijay once again, it now remains to be seen when the duo will team up once again after their previous box office hits Theri (2016), Mersal (2017), and Bigil (2019).

Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan directed by Atlee also turned out to be a launchpad for several notable Tamil cinema names starting with 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara, who played the female lead, followed by composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer GK Vishnu, and editor Ruben. The film also featured 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist, while Deepika Padukone made a special appearance, with Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover, among others seen in vital roles. With Jawan doing wonders at the box office, there is much buzz that the film will hit the 1000 crore mark soon, which will make it the second time this year that a Shah Rukh Khan-starrer will see those numbers after his Pathaan earlier this year.
