Leading Tamil actor Karthi's Japan is gearing up for a grand release this Diwali in November and a new update is out now for the highly-anticipated action entertainer being directed by Raju Murugan of Cuckoo, Joker, and Gypsy fame. A video titled 'Voice of JAPAN' has now been released featuring the Ponniyin Selvan star and the filmmaker in a dubbing studio showing the actor delivering his lines to the footage that isn't revealed to the viewers. As Raju Murugan asks Karthi to keep trying to tap into the feel and the mood of the scene, the filmmaker suggests the actor for the dubbing to continue after Diwali.
The 'Voice of JAPAN' promo then shows Karthi changing into his getup for his role in the upcoming film while tapping into his character and speaking his lines flawlessly much to the amazement of Raju Murugan. The video next drops the big update that the dubbing on the Karthi-starrer has begun, with National Award-winning Tamil composer G. V. Prakash Kumar's thunderous background score powering through. With two months to go for Japan's release, this latest update has once again come as an assurance to Karthi's fans that the much-awaited film is on track to open in cinemas in November.
Announced to come out in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, Japan will see Karthi paired with Namma Veettu Pillai heroine Anu Emmanuel, while the supporting cast features Pushpa fame Sunil, filmmaker Vijay Milton, veteran actor Chandrasekhar among others. The film's first visuals were released back in May on the occasion of Karthi's birthday giving audiences a glimpse into the major fun and action in store in theatres. The actor is currently on a winning streak delivering four back-to-back hits from 2022 starting with Viruman, Ponniyin Selvan: 1, and Sardar, and Ponniyin Selvan: 2, and will be looking to hit the bullseye this time as well. Japan is incidentally Karthi's fifth Diwali release after All in All Azhagu Raja (2013), Kaashmora (2016), Kaithi (2019), and Sardar (2022), and the actor will be aiming to make it an explosive outing once again.
