Passenger gets U certificate

Debutant writer-director Ranjit Sankar's Passenger, a family entertainer starring veteran actor-director Sreenivasan and Dileep together for the first time,├п┬┐┬╜was cleared by the Thiruvananthapuram Regional Censors with a clean ‘U’ certificate. Produced by S.P. Pillai under the banner of Vijaya Combines, the film is expected to hit├п┬┐┬╜screens on May 7.

Passenger revolves around honest, straightforward Sathyanath (Sreenivasan), working in an export firm in Kochi. He travels to├п┬┐┬╜work every day├п┬┐┬╜by a passenger train from a small town. Dileep plays advocate Nandan Menon who meets him in the train, leading to an interesting twist in the story.

The film has two heroines: Mamtha and Lakshmi Sharma. Mamtha plays the role of Anuradha Nandhan, news producer of a popular TV channel. The movie also features Jathathi Sreekumar, Nedumudi Venu, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Sona Nair and Ruby in other important roles.

Music director Bijibal, who shot to fame in 2007 through his compositions in Lal Jose's Arabikatha, has set music to lyrics written by Anil Panachooran. P. Sukumaran handles the camera.
