A film that is keenly being awaited by ‘ThalapathyVijay fans, the action sports entertainer, Bigil, gearing up for a worldwide Diwali release next month will see the superstar in dual roles while also appearing as the coach of the Tamil Nadu women’s football team. Produced by AGS Entertainment and director Atlee teaming up with Vijay for the third time after Theri and Mersal, the film featuring music by Oscar winner A. R. Rahman had its audio launched in a grand manner last week. With all eyes now set on the film’s teaser being planned to be unveiled in the first week of October, Bigil has run into a controversy as a legal notice has now been sent to the proprietors of the Sairam College of Engineering by the Department of Higher Education for hosting the film’s audio launch and questioned as to how the permission was granted to conduct the event. With the issue taking centre stage now, popular actress and Bigg Boss 3 contestant Kasturi Shankar took to her Twitter page to comment on the controversy saying the Tamil Nadu government has begun its free publicity campaign for the upcoming Vijay film. This isn’t the first time Kasturi Shankar has spoken out as the actress happens to be one of the few outspoken celebrities in the Tamil film industry and has often expressed her views on various social issues. There is massive hype surrounding Vijay’s Bigil as the film is being promised to be a cracker of an entertainer and includes a huge ensemble star cast featuring names like Nayanthara playing the female lead followed by Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Yogi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Anandaraj, Indhuja, Reba Monica John, Varsha Bollamma, Gayathri Reddy, Amritha Aiyer, Devadarshini, ‘Thaadi’ Balaji, among others in supporting roles.
