Actor Dhanush’s 25th film is Velai Illa Pattadhari, directed by Velraj and he is sharing screen space with Amala Paul. Actors Vivekh, Samuthirakani and Saranya Ponvannan play significant roles in the film. 
At the film’s press meet, Dhanush stated that this film came to him at the right time and he is grateful to Velraj for choosing him. As the title suggests, Dhanush will be essaying the role of an engineering graduate in this film. 

He further added that he is not promoting smoking through this film. The character that he plays demanded this and so he had to comply. When he was asked about the six pack that he is sporting in the film, he stated that it was just for an extra oomph element.
