Director Gunashekar has already confirmed that Arundhati actress Anushka will play the lead role in his upcoming historical film Rani Rudrama Devi, based on the life of Rani Rudrama Devi, one of the few ruling queens in Indian history.
Said to be India’s first historical stereoscopic 3D film, it will be produced by the director himself under Guna Team Works, while maestro Ilaiyaraaja will score the music. Thota Tharani is the art director. The latest is that the film will go on floors in February 2013.
