The winners of prestigious Nandi Awards for 2011 were announced on October 13. Mahesh Babu won the Nandi Awards for the best actor for Dookudu, while Nayantara bagged the best heroine award for Sri Rama Rajyam.
Nayanthara’s reaction on winning Nandi awards “Am really happy and grateful to god for giving me this opportunity to work in a film like Sri Ramajayam... I would like to thank Balakrishna sir for convincing me to do the film, Bapu sir and Sri Sai Babu sir for having so much faith in me that I would do justice to the role of Sita Devi… It is one film which would always remain special to me and I would like to congratulate all the other winners too.
The Jury was headed by senior cinematographer-producer S. Gopal Reddy.
