Gautham Menon and Ilaiyaraaja teams up for the first time in Neethaane En Ponvasantham, a romantic musical starring Jiiva and Samantha. Expectations are obviously sky high as the maestro teams up with the ace director. Na. Muthukumar has penned the lyrics and Sony Music has released the songs. Neethaane En Ponvasantham is produced by RS Infotainment. Here we take a look at the review!

The album opens with the mesmerizing 'Saayndhu Saayndhu' rendered by Yuvanshankar Raja and Ramya NSK. This serene track is not new to us, earlier the team released the promo of this song. Scintillating guitars, sensual symphony, slow piano note and few clarinets makes it an extraordinary treat for ears. Then comes 'Kaatrai Konjam', a solo track by Karthik. This is a very youthful retro number which reminds us of the 80's. Whereas 'Mudhal Murai' by Sunidhi Chauhan has a very instrumentation laced with blissful string sounds and electrifying energy.

The maestro himself has sung the village-ish duet 'Vaanam Mella' along with Bela Shinde. Na. Muthukumar's subtle lyrics makes it more sweet. If you thought that Neethaane En Ponvasantham is an offbeat slow romantic musical, you are wrong. Here comes 'Pudikale Maamu', a hippy college hero introduction number rendered by Suraj Jagan and Karthik.

Karthik has sung one more solo track in the film, 'Yennodu Va Va'. This track again resembles us of the maestro's melodious tunes from the 80's. 'Pengal Yendral' is an emotionally high track delivered by Yuvanshankar Raja while the orchestral backgrounds of 'Sattru Mumbu' sung by Ramya make you go weak on the knees.

So folks get ready to welcome another super hit combo in Kollywood!
