The Thangalaan team wrapped up filming the movie a few weeks ago, which is now in the post-production stage. The next big project of Pa. Ranjith after Sarpatta Parambarai and Natchathiram Nagargirathu, with 'Chiyaan' Vikram in the lead role, has created a huge anticipation. The film also has Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavoka Mohanan, Pasupathy, Madras fame Hariharan, English actor Daniel Caltagiron, and others in important roles. It will also have music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. The filmmaker had earlier revealed that the film has a huge chunk of VFX, and they are planning to release the film later this year. The film is set in the pre-independence era and revolves around the Kolar Gold Fields.
