Lekha Washington in Quarter Cutting
Lekha Washington was quite the witty and whacko [in a good way, of course] VJ on SS Music, and when she decided to take the cine plunge, expectations were quite high. The former IPL anchor is back in Chennai after being away for months in Mumbai and Goa, where she was shooting for her debut Bollywood�flick Peter Gaya Kaam Se opposite Rajeev Khandelwal.
Meanwhile, she has recently signed three films: a Telugu multi-starrer titled Vedam with Allu Arjun-Manoj Manchu-Anushka, a Kannada film Thunta Thunti with Golden Star Ganesh and the Pushkar-Gayathri Tamil flick titled Quarter Cutting.
Lekha is very excited about her role in Quarter Cutting, in which she plays a 19-year-old school girl. “The directors, Pushkar and Gayathri, are making a rollicking fun movie with just three characters: Shiva, Charan and me. I can’t reveal details about it, but let me tell you this – it’ll be kickass!” she said.
