Lawrence's fantasy cowboy flick

Can you guess why noted choreographer-actor-turned-director Lawrence Raghavendra's forthcoming bilingual Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam (Super Cowboy in Telugu) is being described as "fantasy-cowboy" film?

Critically acclaimed actress Padmapriya, who plays a new avatar as a gun-wielding village belle in this flick, reveals the reason. "Nowhere in the world will you find a cowboy speaking in Tamil," she said in an interview.

"I play the role of a Marshal's daughter in a village in this fantasy-action-cowboy movie. The movie is an entertainer. It has everything: action, comedy, eroticism. It has a huge cast, each with well-defined roles," said Padmapriya, famous for her intense roles in Tamil movies like Pookisham, Satham Podathey, Thavamai Thavamirundhu and Mirugam.

Lakshmi Rai and Sandhya are the other heroines in this film being directed by Simbudevan and produced by Kalpathi S. Agoram under the banner of SGS Entertainments with a massive budget of Rs. 20 crores. Slated for release next month, the film was shot in locations across the country, including Palakkad and Tenkasi.
